Preschool fall party

Ethan had a fall party today at preschool. Yesterday we made cupcakes with candy corn and pumpkins to share with his class. He had a blast putting the candy on to decorate each one. Then today he dressed up like Thomas the Train and off he went for his party. They went around the church and got candy from the librarian, office staff and janitors then it was back to their room for yummy food. Micah and Mommy joined them for the parade and food. What a fun time we all had. They are both really looking forward to what is coming with Halloween on Monday night.

Food time...Yummy!

Pumpkin painting

Yesterday we decided to paint our pumpkins we got at the pumkin patch a few weeks ago. It was great fun and now we have two very painted pumpkins at our house. Another great fall afternoon activity. Mommy was running out of ideas and was glad to pull this one out of her hat. And score when they think it is cool as well.

Leaf fun

We had a nice day to spend outside and decided to rake the leaves that were in the yard for a little leaf fun. Both boys enjoyed making a leaf pile and then rolling in it and also moving the leaves to other parts of the yard. Great fall entertainment!

Baby

We had our ultrasound yesterday. The boys went with us and thought it was pretty cool to see the baby. The baby also moved their hand so we told the boys the baby was waving at them and they thought that was cool. All is well and the doctor said we have a good sized baby coming.

Can you see the face?

Cooking pumpkin

After we picked our pumpkins at the pumpkin patch we brought them home and cut into them to see what was inside. The boys helped me clean them out and then we put them in the oven to bake. After cooling for awhile we were then able to remove the yummy pumpkin and bag it for the freezer. Both boys said it wasn't yummy to eat just like that but Ethan said it would be good in pie or cookies. Now we have lots of pumpkin to use this winter for yummy things like pie and cookies.

Pumpkin patch

We headed to the pumpking patch yesterday. It was windy and cold but be had fun with our friends. We had a hayride, fed goats, picked out pumpkins and apples and ran through the hay maze.

Ethan and Micah

Ethan fed the goats but Micah didn't want to.

Family adventure

We headed out on Saturday for a morning of fun. A beautiful fall day! We hiked Spirit Mound and then headed across the river to a lookout. Nice fresh air and a good walk. We've got to take advantage of the nice days while we have them.
