Toddler bed

Ethan has made the transition into his big boy room with his toddler bed. We did it on the weekend just in case we had low sleep, but it went really well and we all slept good. We did find him sleeping on the floor the second night so moved him back to bed. Thank you Grandma for the fun quilt and pillow!

SOLD

So we went up to Sioux Falls for a short day trip and came back to Yankton no longer homeowners. After dropping our screaming son off at a babysitter we spend about 15 minutes signing some papers and then went right to the bank and deposited our check ($$woo hoo$$). Come to find out that he only screamed for about 15 seconds after we left; after that he was quite content watching "Bob the Builder". On our way out of town we drove by the house that is no longer ours (sniff).

Picnic in March

We had a beautiful day yesterday so we decided to head to the park and have a picnic. Yes, it is March and yes it is still winter but it was warm (50+) so off we went. The only thing is we picked the park by the still frozen lake and the wind was blowing. What were we thinking?! Burrrrr...is all I can say. We cooked the hotdogs, Ethan played some on the playground and back into the car we went to warm up. We were all cold but Ethan was so upset to leave the park, he LOVES being outside. We've decided our son could be borderline hypothermia and still want to play outside. It was a fun adventure though and one for the memory book!

Birthday party

Our little man has turned 2! Where does the time go? Ethan had a birthday party on Saturday. Papa, Nana, Uncle Heath, Grandpa and Grandma were able to be here to help him celebrate.Ethan didn't need much help getting packages open.
He loved blowing out his candle. I think we relit it three or four times.
He LOVED the cupcakes, especially the frosting.

Uncle Heath gave Ethan this cool plane toy. He loves it and Daddy and Mommy love the batteries that he gave with it...it is a battery eater toy we are finding out.
