Basement done - almost!

Here are the promised pictures of the basement. As Dave says, "Done, almost!" We are just waiting on carpet. It is ordered and should arrive in store on Tuesday and then we just have to get the installer here and then we are DONE! It has taken longer then thought but the almost finished product is beautiful and we are pleased. Now we just hope that someone else thinks so too and can't wait to buy it. =)

Our family room. We threw down some carpet and brought in some furniture so we can enjoy our new fireplace. It is my new favorite spot in the house and I'm going to miss it very much.

And since we can't leave out the cute kid here he is! Ethan was entertaining himself one night when Mommy was doing dishes. He loves to move the chairs and then also tell us who sits where. Grandpa and Grandma even have their own chairs.

A fun weekend

We spent the weekend in Rochester with Dave's folks. It was a bit chilly but we still enjoyed time outside.

Weekend

Our little man likes to read! I was downstairs doing laundry on Friday and came up to a quiet house, not a good thing with a little one. This is what I found...

We spent the weekend in Murdo hunting. Here is the crew (Jane, Andy, Josh, Dave and Heath) and their limit of birds. There were so many it only took them a little over an hour and they had their limit for the day.

Train ride

Ethan LOVED the train ride at the apple orchard. When it was all done he wanted more.

Apple Orchard

We headed off to the apple orchard as a family this morning. It was a cloudy, raining day but a fun fall day to be out. Ethan enjoyed the horses, running on haybales and the little train ride. What a fun little explorer we have! We enjoyed lunch and then bought our apples and cider and home we went.

We found out that under the stairs in the basement had to be sheetrocked, mudded and taped for fire code. Dave's parents came this past weekend and helped get the project done, THANK YOU! Ethan thought it was fun helping just a little.
And now we are officially done with sheetrock!!
