Four boys and their kayak

All four boys got to go and try out the new kayak. Daddy went first to get a feel for it, said he was impressed with how stable it was, and then each boy got to go with just Daddy and then all four boys got to go together. What fun! We think this is a hit and are looking forward to warmer days and more kayak fun. Someone asked me what I got since they got a kayak. My response was, "Peace and quiet!" And maybe sometime Daddy and Mommy can go out together.

New Toy!

Well the Carlson family has once again increased in number. We have a one car garage with two kayaks and we decided that two wasn't enough so off to buy another one we went. It was a rainy day on Saturday and Dave has really been wanting a two person sit on kayak to use with the boys so he decided to just stop thinking about it and put some action behind it. Off to Sioux Falls we headed Saturday afternoon to Scheels to buy our new toy. All four boys will fit for short trips on the lake and then Daddy can take each boy seperate or three fit good too. But where to store it??? Well the spare bedroom works for now.

Soccer

And soccer has begun once again. This year we are double busy as both Ethan and Micah are playing. Micah was so excited to be able to play this year. They have both had a few practices and Micah was able to play a game on Saturday. He is a fast little man and he had so much fun. He even scored a goal! At his age they don't keep score though so that actually makes it more fun to just play to learn the game. Ethan was suppose to have a game but the rain hit and sent us all running for cover. It has been rescheduled to this week. I'm officially a soccer mom again!

MVCA Race for Christ

We had another beautiful day for our annual Race for Christ with school. A busy many months leading up to it but all went well and this Mom is glad to be done and take a break. Ethan and Micah took part in the kid fun run. They didn't place 1st, 2nd or 3rd, but they both ran good and had fun. It was a little windy but overall nice weather. We hope that this raised good money for our school. A big activity but fun for all.

AWANA Grand Prix

We had the AWANA Grand Prix a few weeks ago. The boys designed and decorated cars to race this year. They had fun making them with Dad. Neither boy placed in the race but they still had fun. Next year we'll try again.
